THE FRANCO-FÊTE UNVEILS THE INITIAL LINEUP OF ARTISTS FOR ITS 36TH EDITION
Toronto, ON, June 6, 2018 – The Franco-Fête de Toronto organization is pleased to announce a first lineup of artists taking part in the 36th edition of the event which will take place on June 23 and 24 at the Harbourfront Centre. The 2018 edition of the Franco-Fête will offer a musical festival with artists with different sounds and origins, all for free!
This year’s program will honor LES COLOCS – Les retrouvailles de Mike Sawatzky, a famous Quebec band that has made crowds of all ages sing and dance for many years. The musical trio LES RATS D’SWOMPE will undoubtedly bring a festive atmosphere with the sound of the traditional violin, the call-and-response songs and the musicality of yesteryear. KYRIS, French pop / folk singer-songwriter who built his own universe on the roads of the world will be present to celebrate the Francophonie. The Franco-Fête de Toronto will also be offering family programming on Sunday morning with, among others, JOJO, a singer-songwriter who will present her show “À la ferme de Jojo”. LE PÉRE GARNEAU, one of the most popular storytellers in the Ontario Francophonie and DANIEL RICHER a captivating Indigenous storyteller. Other artists and animations will be unveiled in the coming days!
