OUR HISTORY

First knows as “Semaine Francophone”, La Franco-Fête was created in 1983 by the French Committee of Toronto. It was incorporated as a non-profit organization in 1995 under the name: Franco-Fête de la Communauté urbaine de Toronto.
La Franco-Fête, that will be celebrating its 30th year in 2012, has proven itself over the years by presenting great Canadian artists as well as well-known artists from all over. Also, Franco-Ontarian artists, from Toronto and around the province have always found a home at this festival. La Franco-Fête is proud to be an organization whose board members are very active in the functioning of the event.

Thanks to the work of its volunteers, and the support of many community partners, government funders and private sponsors, La Franco-Fête has been able to offer a diverse programming that is getting stronger and stronger every year.
